Seek and You Will Find

What are you looking for?
Sometimes we are want something, but because of the obstacles, because the thing we're looking for seems so hidden, we give up long before we find it.
This painting was inspired by a walk in the woods with my family. My daughter, distracted by something buzzing in the bushes, went of the trail for a bit to investigate.
I snapped a photo of her just as she was curiously looking. I loved the way the light filtered through the trees, putting a spotlight just over the area she was searching into. I thought this would make for a great picture, and so I brought that photo to life by painting it on the canvas.
I started by free-hand sketching the layout onto the canvas, and then building up the colors, step-by-step with my acrylic glazing technique to increase the luminosity.
Jesus said, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
God doesn't mind our curiosity. He loves it when we take chances, prompted by faith.
He loves it when we don't give up, but we keep on seeking for the good things; especially the best—Him.
Persistence pays off.
Whatever you are looking for, keep seeking and you will find it.
